2010 get ta' know ya' thread

This isn't around at all which is kinda weird, but ok.
I figure with the revival effort afoot it wouldn't hurt to get to know you guys.

I guess I'll start.
I'm Hayley, you can call me that or Turo/Aze if you're not too comfortable with first name basis. I'm 18 and I live in Arizona, so I think I have a pretty good grasp on desert living and wildlife. Uh, I'm mostly bored out of my skull and I'm up for RP all the time, (meaning I stalk WoD) which is probably great for UK users that are like nine hours ahead of me. I play Harrison Harper, I'm sure we will cross paths at some point and either fight or rejoice.

HELLOOOO.

I'm Ekurian, but you can call me Kuri. Dominiqua is my real name, but it's a bit of a hassle to type so you can call me Dom if you so desire I'm 17, very nearly 18, and am what you could call a 'zombie enthusiast'. Ever since I was 11 I've been intrigued by them. I go out of my way to try and scientifically make sense of them, how they could exist, and what would happen if they actually did. WoD is just one of my concepts, and my favourite. In fact, I try to make scientific sense of almost everything that doesn't actually exist.
I live in England, where it is currently raining extremely heavily. Naturally.
My characters are Lesley Devon, Saul and Magpie.

Since I know Nismo IRL (and he's in the same room just a few feet away from me), I'll take a few liberties and tell you a bit about him, too.

Nismo, AKA Ben, is 19 and he mostly just helps me with making the layouts.
I kid I kid (yes he's looking at the screen now). He hasn't been role playing for every long, but he's decent enough that I don't make him rewrite every post xD

Nice to meet you ^^ I'm Howard, but everyone calls me Iblis. You can call me either, but most people online call me Iblis. It's your call, really. I'm 17, but I'm so tentalizingly close to 18, so for all intensive purposes, I'm 18 xD. I live in the states, Connecticut to be exact. I've been into zombies ever since I played a game called Resident Evil back when I was four. I've never tried to rationalize a zombie outbreak. Me and my buddies always talk about them for laughs, though. We end up talking about different ways we'd execute waves of the things and what our weapons would be, and how we'd travel, and what music we'd play from the stereo system we'd rig onto a tank xD. Like, for example, one time my buddy said that if a zombie outbreak were to occur, He, I and about 5 other people should steal four Harley Davidsons and an APC and ride in formation as we mowed zombies down x3. The situations just get more and more ridiculous from there on xD They get pretty hilarious, actually.

I really can't think of anything else worth knowing about me right now x3. My only character at the moment is Hyman. Anyway, hope to have a hell of a time with you guys here ^^

I can't imagine a time with my friends that we didn't plan out escape routes during the zombie apocalypse, to be quite honest. i'm sure both of our strategies would be different Iblis.

Oh, I'm more than positive our strategies would be different. I haven't really thought of a SERIOUS, carefully planned escape route, but I know for sure that there are places within walking distance of my house where I'd be able to hold out for weeks. X3 There are lots of Plazas around here.

Count on there being lots of plazas around; America is full of them, after all. I'd rather choose my old high school- perimeter lockdown, second story for delightful nightwatch, a catwalk linking two buildings, made of solid brick and concrete, no large windows... plus lots of space to house a colony, once you clear out all the desks and shit like that. and its also across the street from two plazas and a hospital! really ideal location, at least initially.

Hey, I'm BlazzenX. Of course it's not my real name, but you can call me Blaz for short. I am 19 and I'm just out of high school but I'm already taking college (online courses). >.< I find it a bit of a coincidence, but I am also a zombie fan. After playing and/or watching zombie movies/games, I bored my family to death wondering what they would do in a zombie outbreak. I actually live in a small town in a secluded valley in Wyoming, so I think my area would do a bit well in an outbreak. Also, I currently don't have a character, but I am working on that.

Yeah, we're ninja like that. I've been online while you were once or twice, but by time I've posted, you're gone, or I have to go and don't have time xD

As for where I'd go when the zombies come, I'm waiting out the worst and heading right for the nearest apartment block with a balcony. Break the elevator and otherwise render the stairs unusable, and stay there for a while. Once things have calmed down- that is, if the military ect. or the zombies win, I'm either trying to get back home or going to find other survivors.
Weapons for me will probably be knives and or blunt implements, like bats.

I just re-read that and realised how crazy that sounds.

Well, me and Abel live in the US-- Particularly in a state that loves their guns, concealed or not. AZ also possesses army bases, national guard troopers and cool places to hide among the natural rock formations, like the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert. Zombies have no future here. Blunt instruments would be our first scavenge, and then we'll find some sort of gun, be it pea-shooter, shotgun or 50 caliber sniper rifle.

Hiya, I'm Ian. I'm 17. Like all of us here, I'm a fan of rpgs and undead stuff. I live in the UK (where you can have all four seasons in one day!). I like imagining wierd scenarios, often involving people I know and creatures I've made. I'm an acquaintance of Ekurian. My character on here iz Daniel Knight. I'm also a bit of a Japan enthusiast, I love the Samurai Warriors games so much!
