World of Dust

Welcome to World of Dust.

What do you do with a diseased little island?
You try to forget about it.
Having been razed to the ground, the UK is now a harsh, near-barren wasteland.
People have become violent and animalistic. And a mutated virus causes the dead to walk.
A few survivors have climbed atop the rubble that was once London and built a port in the storm: Haven. They struggle day to day to eke out a living.
In this world where the only rule is to stay alive, is there really more to life than to survive?

World of Dust is NOT child friendly. Swearing, explicit violence and sexual themes can be found on any forum posts. You have been warned.

Haven
[ ]Checkpoint Gate (1 sub-board)
This is the only way in or out of Haven. New arrivals must come through here to be checked and recorded by the gate guards.

[ ]Haven Proper (4 sub-boards)
Once you get through the checkpoint, you'll get into Haven proper. The houses and streets aren't arranged in any particular way, and are mostly made of scavenged metal tacked on to the ruins of old buildings.

[ ]Parker Memorial
A memorial was erected in the center of the community for the now dead Robert Parker. Although it's just a simple scratching on a piece of metal, the Memorial is a becon of hope for the people of Haven.
00
[ ]The River Thames (1 sub-board)
Not really a river anymore, the Thames is nothing more than an empty river bed with a muddy trickle at the bottom. When the rains come, it becomes a bit more of a stream.
00
[ ]The Station (1 sub-board)
What remains of an old train station and part of London Underground is now the unofficial town police station. The Haven law enforcement often meet here, and you can also apply for a job.

[ ]The Ruins
The ruins of London, that haven't yet been retaken by Haven. Be careful when scavenging, as sometimes the undead or animals manage to get in.
00
[ ]Big Ben Lookout
Although most of the huge clock has collapsed, it is still the tallest thing in Haven and thus makes the best place for keeping an eye on the Wasteland. If the alarm sounds, and the Lookout starts shouting through the radio, you know something's wrong.
00
[ ]The Underground
The Underground was sealed off during the first stages of creating Haven, as it was flooded with undead. There is one gate that can be used to enter, but even the hardiest Warriors don't dare brave the pitch black tomb. The law enforcement keeps it locked down. Only those with special permission may enter.

Wasteland
[ ]Outer Haven (1 sub-board)
The area just outside Haven. There is an abandoned supermarket somewhere around here.
00
[ ]Old Zoo
A place that was once a popular tourist attraction, now a dangerous epicenter of animal activity. The hunting is good here, but be careful- you might become the prey.
00
[ ]Decrepit School
The Outsider lair that is closest to Haven. Although there may be decent salvage here, it is recommended that you give this place a wide berth.
00
[ ]Grisly Church (1 sub-board)
St Paul's Cathedral: once a place of holy worship, now a main lair for the Outsiders. No one knows why they chose a church, but some believe they made their own form of worship here. Sometimes, you can hear their crazed screams and chanting in the night...
00
[ ]Empty Hospital
Scavenging a hospital might seem like a good idea, but not at this one. The whole place is a hive of Shufflers.

[ ]Far Wasteland (1 sub-board)
The further away you get from Haven, the more danger you put yourself in. Amidst the heat and the ruins, the undead lurk in wait for unsuspecting prey and the Outsiders run riot.

Deep Wasteland
[ ]CaPa (3 sub-boards)
Once a multi-storey car park, CaPa was re-purposed by Wasteland survivors and became the only known established settlement aside form Haven. Although compared to Haven, it's a bit of a shanty town. From the third floor up, the car park has collapsed.
00
[ ]Madame Tussauds
Almost all of the wax models are now just melted and broken puddles, and the whole place is dark and crawling with undead. Due to it being so far away, Madame Tussauds is still full of loot, and makes for a rewarding- albeit dangerous and creepy- place to scavenge,
00
[ ]Natural History Museum
What was once one of the largest and well known museums in the world, is now a zombie infested death trap. There's plenty of loot, however scavenging might not be a good idea.
00
[ ]Old Car Factory
An old car factory. A good place to scavenge for mechanical items; there is quite a lot of undead (mainly Shufflers) but there are lots of places to hide in.
00
[ ]Badlands
The clue is in the name- the Badlands are the furthest anyone from Haven has been, and they are completely unmapped and dangerous. You really don't want to be caught out here alone.
